ProofBox Privacy Policy

What ProofBox does

ProofBox helps you save purchase proof, review suggested return and warranty dates, schedule reminders, and create claim-pack summaries. Dates are suggestions until you confirm them.

Information you choose to save

You may add receipt photos, email receipt screenshots, product photos, serial number photos, merchant names, purchase dates, item names, prices, categories, notes, reminders, and claim-pack files.

AI processing

When AI parsing is enabled, ProofBox sends the receipt images and related proof details you choose to process to the ProofBox backend, which may use Convex infrastructure and OpenAI models to extract purchase-proof information. The app asks you to review and edit results before saving deadlines.

Usage and diagnostics

ProofBox may record product events such as scans, imports, proof-card saves, reminder setup, paywall views, claim-pack generation, restore taps, feedback, and deletion requests. These events are used to operate, debug, secure, and improve the app.

Payments

Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple. ProofBox receives entitlement status and product identifiers needed to unlock paid features. ProofBox does not receive your full payment card number from Apple.

Tracking

ProofBox does not sell your data and does not use your data for third-party advertising tracking.

Retention and deletion

You can delete saved proof cards in the app. Account deletion requests are designed to remove account-linked ProofBox data after processing. Some operational records may be retained briefly where needed for security, billing, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

Your choices

You control camera, photo library, and notification permissions through iOS. You can use manual entry if you do not want to process a receipt image with AI.
